O retrofuturo, onde a música antiga e nova colidem
memória e literacia audiovisual na cultura ciberpunk

O início do século XXI coincide com um momento sociocultural onde a música popular, inserida no contexto do ciberpunk, tem como tendência a prática de apropriação de conteúdos audiovisuais do passado. Neste artigo proponho uma discussão sobre o papel da literacia audiovisual na produção, circulação e receção de música ciberpunk. Cruzando o conceito de retrofuturo com o imaginário estético proposto pelo synthwave, analiso espaços, práticas e músicas que demonstram a importância da memória no ato de fruição estética. A abordagem construtivista cruza ferramentas de musicologia, sociologia e estudos dos media, para defender a existência de uma cultura convergente onde todos os participantes são produtores de significados provenientes de sons, imagens e textos categorizados como ciberpunk.
