Abstract

The MusiMid Journal pays tribute to composer and conductor Roberto Martins, who celebrated his 80th birthday last November. In this interview with Raphael Fernandes Lopes Farias, Martins presents his first-person impressions and memories. Responsible for conducting the Madrigal Ars Viva for five decades, he is a plural musician: his rare competence in the field of music for voices also brings together his training in Literature, with a special mastery of semantics and prosody.
